Mooloolaba, Sunshine Coast
Mooloolaba is an hour’s drive north of Brisbane, one hour flight from Sydney and one and a half hour from Melbourne & Adelaide.
We are fifteen minutes from Sunshine Coast Airport by car or shuttle bus to the door.
Beachcomber on the Spit is located between beautiful Mooloolaba Beach and the picturesque Mooloola River. Fishing or swimming, whatever takes your fancy.
A few minutes walk on the boardwalk between the rainforest trees with birds and bush turkeys takes you in both directions.
North: to the stylish café’s for a coffee, lunch or dinner overlooking the waves. Boutiques to browse through, art galleries, bars, restaurants and our fantastic local Mooloolaba Surf Club overlooking the beach with fabulous views for a refreshing drink or dining, breakfast, lunch & dinner 7 days a week.
South: to the Spit where the river meets the ocean. This is where our famous Mooloolaba Prawn fishing boats come with fresh supplies for the seafood restaurants and kiosks. A great selection of food; cooked or fresh to bring back and enjoy in your apartment at Beachcomber or sit and relax in one of our parks beside the beach to picnic or BBQ.
Cross the road to The Wharf and Marina. Go whale watching in the season, hire a jet ski or a fully equipped fishing boat. Small ferries cruise the canals showing the spectacular homes along the foreshores with large cruisers or yachts tied up at their pontoon. Underwater World is also here, great for the kids; exhibiting a large variety of fish. Walk under sharks & stingrays viewed through the glass or see the seal show.
Australia Zoo is a 20 min drive and not to be missed. See the live crocodile show and view the animals.

The famous Eumundi Markets is also nearby with over a hundred stalls selling art, craft, fashion & food. Wander through while listening to or watching the live entertainment.
The Ginger Factory full of history and fun for the kids is located within half an hour drive.
The beautiful picturesque hinterland of the Sunshine Coast is an enjoyable half hour drive to the towns on the range. Montville, Melaney and Kenilworth are just a few.
